Zinkenite with tetrahedrite on siderite from Saint-Pons, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence.

1500,00

Zinkenite is composed of lead sulphide andantimony, it is found here nestled on light brown rhombohedral siderite.

The fluted crystals, with sub-metallic reflections, are quite exceptional in size (multi-centimetric) for the site and the mineral species.

A magnificent shining crystal of tetrahedrite comes to perch harmoniously on the specimen. One will also note the presence of a little chalcostibite.

This sample comes from the Saint-Pons deposit, near Barcelonnette, in the Alpes de Haute-Provence, famous for its rare sulfosalts.

It is from the collection of mineral collector Eric Asselborn.

Very beautiful mineralogy.
