Violet fluorite on calcite, Artenberg quarry, Steinach, Germany.

35,00

Purple fluorite is quite rare in this quarry, as we’re used to finding it in green. The specimen shown here consists of a multitude of sharp-edged fluorite cubes on a calcite matrix studded with hematoid quartz crystals.

A closer look with a binocular will reveal small chalcopyrite crystals, and many other details.

It comes from the Artenberg quarry in Steinach, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.

Ex Éric Asselborn mineral collection.
