Remarkable azurite crystals partially covered with green malachite from the Chessy mine, near Lyon, Rhône department, France.

The quality and size of the crystals is remarkable!

Specimen number 123.341 in the inventory of collections at the Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle in Paris, from the collection of Tony Lacroix (Alfred Lacroix’s grandfather, who introduced him to mineralogy) and Eric Asselborn.

The harvest dates back to the mining era (circa 1812 – 1820).
