Beautiful association composed of black tourmaline rods, sometimes finished, placed on an orthoclase crystal.
This sample comes from the Strahlenberg, in the Fichtelgebirge massif in Bavaria, Germany. This area offers a rich mineralogy because several granite quarries have been exploited there.
This specimen is from the mineral collection of Deyrolle, a former naturalist dealer in Paris. It comes with its original label, which dates from the 1950s/1970s.
