Sphalerite in grainy crystals on microquartz.
This piece from an old collection comes from the Plombières mine (near Moresnet), in the province of Liège, Belgium. Back then, the mine was called Bleyberg (or Bleiberg in German).
This specimen was found around 1870 / 1880 when the deposit was mined. The size of the crystals is quite exceptional for the site.
