Pyrolusite, Roßbach Mine, Raubach, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.

95,00

Numerous “pompons” of acicular pyrolusite nicely distributed over the entire surface of the specimen.

Pyrolusite is a mineral consisting essentially of manganese dioxide.

Antique 19th century piece, supplied with its label indicating “Raubach – Westerwald”, from the Munich mineral dealer H. Maucher.

A very good specimen of this mineral species, which rarely produces attractive crystallizations.
