65,00

Quartz sample, quite massive, sprinkled with millimeter-sized oxidized cassiterite crystals. More transparent cassiterite is found in the gangue.

It comes from the kaolin quarry of La Bosse in Allier (Auvergne).

The gîte is also known by other local names, such as “Beauvoir” or “Les Montmints”. Cassiterite is a common mineral in deposits related to granites transformed into kaolinite.
