Brannerite crystals, Villette, Aime, Savoie.

300,00

Very numerous crystals of brannerite partially finished in a gangue of calcite, and coming from the quarry of Villette, in Aime, department of Savoy.

The Villette quarry, essentially known for its hyaline quartz on dolomite and calcite, has recently provided exceptional brannite crystals in a metasomatic enclave, sometimes associated with native gold, a discovery recently reported in the magazine “Le Règne Minéral”.

Brannerite is a naturally radioactive tetravalent uranium titanate.
