Very rare native gold in white quartz from the old Maraillat mine near Ambazac, Haute-Vienne department in the Limousin region.

The Maraillat area was mined for gold by the Celts via large pits known as aurières. The corner was rediscovered in 1906 and briefly exploited from 1928 to 1931.
