Very airy, almost floating sample of wulfenite in large, bright yellow tablets on translucent beige calcite sheet crystals. This specimen comes from the 79 (or seventy-nine) Mine, Chilito area, Hayden area, Banner Mining District, Gila County, Arizona, and is part of the Crystal Pockets collection.
This mine, opened in 1879 for lead and iron, also yielded fine hemimorphite samples. It has not been accessible since 1992.
