Description
Galena crystal partially covered with very green pyromorphite, as well as a beige to brown crust, probably lead hydroxyapatite, a lead-bearing member of the apatite group with sulfides and silica totally replacing phosphorus.
This interesting little sample comes from the Rocher du bœuf mine at Argentolle, in the commune of Saint Prix in Saône et Loire (Morvan). This fluorite mine was mainly active in the 1960s/1970s.
