Description
Rhodizite occurs in alkali-rich granitic pegmatites. This sample presents a beautiful, transparent dodecahedral crystal, accompanied, as is often the case in this locality, by rubellite (a variety of tourmaline).
This specimen, featuring a good combination of yellow rhodizite crystal, massive londonite and purple elbaite (tourmaline), comes from the Sahatany valley, Ibity, Antsirabe, Vakinankaratra, Madagascar.
