A specimen with good cobalt dolomite crystals (hence the pronounced pink color) on a light-colored gangue.
Typical sample from the Musonoi (Mupine) copper mine in Kolweizi, Katanga, a mineral found in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
This copper and cobalt (and other metals) mine is one of the most productive in the Congo. A wide variety of copper- and cobalt-related minerals have been identified.
